Compatibility And Corruption Issues With Zip
Zip is one of the most popular and widely used file formats for file compression and archiving. Zip archive generally contains one or more files in compressed form toreduce their size. Zip files are generally created using WinZip utility and use the .zip extension.
In order to access contents of a Zip file, you need to extract it using WinZip software. After extraction to a directory, a new folder is created with the same name and the file can be used as it was before compressing.

. The Zip file was created using WinZip10.0 or earlier versions but Vista includes support for later versions of WinZip and thus the extraction process could notbe completed.
. The Zip file is corrupted and WinZip can not read the contents of the file.
